When the relay is opened, the current flowing through the circuit is cut off. This is known as a “break” in the circuit. The break in the circuit prevents the current from flowing through the indicator light, thereby turning it off. If the switch is turned off, the relay will close again and the indicator light will be lit up again.

The most important thing to remember when trying to understand a relay circuit diagram is that the current must always flow in one direction only. As long as the circuit is complete and the switch is turned on, the power supplied by the battery will flow through the circuit without interruption.

Relays are used in many different applications, such as controlling lights, switching on motors, and controlling other electrical devices.
