Circuit Diagram Of Plate Modulated Class C Amplifier

By | September 13, 2017

Are you looking to build your own plate-modulated amplifier circuit? Understanding the electrical components and their relationship to each other is key to creating an effective, high-quality circuit. In this article, we’ll break down the circuit diagram of a plate-modulated class C amplifier, so that you can get an idea of its workings and construct your own.

A plate-modulated class C amplifier is a type of amplifier which uses electrical signals to modulate the output voltage at the plate. This effective method of amplification has found applications in radio and TV broadcasting, as well as audio amplifiers. The core components of a plate-modulated amplifier are: two resistors, two capacitors, two transistors, and one diode.

Each of the panes on the cirucit diagram represents a different electrical component. The two arrows in the diagram indicate the flow of current. TO begin with, the current runs from the voltage source (upper left) to the two resistors and then to the base of the two transistors. From there, the current is amplified by the transistors and flows back to the voltage source via the two capacitors. The diode, which is connected from the collectors of the transistors to the plate, helps regulate the current and limit the amount of distortion.

If you’ve studied the schematic of a plate-modulated class C amplifier, you know that it consists of several electrical components and their interplay. By understanding how these components interact, you can build and test various circuits to see how they affect the resulting output. With a little time and work, you’ll be able to build your own plate-modulated class C amplifier and reap the rewards of your effort!
