But before you can get started, you’ll need to know the basics of an AM Receiver Circuit Diagram.

An AM Receiver Circuit Diagram is essentially a diagram of the components necessary to receive and process AM (amplitude modulation) signals. These components include a receiving antenna, such as a long wire antenna or a tuned dipole antenna, a mixer, an amplifier, a band-pass filter, an amplitude detector, a demodulator, and an audio amplifier.

The receiving antenna is the first component in the diagram. It picks up the signal and sends it to the mixer, which combines the signal with a local oscillator signal, producing an intermediate frequency (IF) signal, which is then amplified. Next, the IF signal is fed into the band-pass filter, which only passes through the desired frequency range. After being filtered, it is then sent to the amplitude detector, which determines the intelligence from the signal. The output from the amplitude detector is then sent to the demodulator, which extracts the information from the signal. Finally, the audio amplifier boosts the signal, so it can be heard.
